Raytheon Directed Energy Warheads PDF Print E-mail
Raytheon is a defense company that recently produced the pain ray – and apparently, the company was seen developing another revolutionary weapon, called the directed energy warheads. Surely, we all know that modern weapons of war are now more dependant on electronics, and Raytheon recognizes such facts too. And by disabling the onboard electronics on these weapons, such circumstances render the weapon useless.

Nevertheless, Raytheon has been rather decretive in acquiring Ktech, in which the firm specializes in airborne electronic warfare. And by merging both of these companies together, Raytheon now has the capability to develop some kind of directed energy warhead, which is speculated to use radio and microwaves to electronically neutralize targets, rather then blowing the targets up in smithereens. Well, I’m guessing that we’ll be seeing more drones that are able to fry electronics, flying around the battlefield in the future.
