German Researchers Prototype 6mm Thick Pico Projector |

Pico projectors are miniature projectors that offer similar functions of a full-fledge projector, except for the fact that the size factor of this particular projector is extremely small. Nevertheless, if you think that present pico projectors are already extremely small, you’d be thrilled to know that a group of German researchers have prototyped an extremely small pico projector that measures only 6mm thick.
Basically, the respective projector is the world’s slimmest pico projector, and the projector also boasts 10 times the brightness too. On the other hand, the lens of the projector is very tiny too, whereby it can be outfitted into an ordinary smartphone. Also, the projector comes with 45 red, green or blue microlenses, and it also has 200x200 pixels LCD too. Generally, the projector runs on WVGA mode, and has 11 lumens, and will be showcased at the Nano Tech 2011 at Tokyo.
