Boxee Box Teardown PDF Print E-mail
Ever wonder what’s inside the Boxee Box? Surely, the Boxee Box is a computing device, which provides consumers access to paid television services, which is something like Google TV. In fact, the Boxee Box contains similar hardware configuration as the Google TV, whereby the teardown of the device reveals a lot of interesting information – at least to geeks like me though.

Nevertheless, the Boxee Box runs on a 1.2GHz processor, namely the Intel CE4110, which is pretty similar with Google TV’s CE4150. On the other hand, the Boxee Box also has an unusually large heat sink, and a fan underneath the heat sink, which draws the heat away from the device. There’s 1GB of RAM, and 1GB of flash memory too. The digital to analog audio converters allows the device to produce 1080p video out of the HDMI slot too.
