Artificial Retina Reconstructs Normal Vision PDF Print E-mail
Technology is somewhat superior these days, whereby scientists have found the Holy Grail in creating an artificial retina that is able to reconstruct normal vision. Basically, the study led by Sheila Nirenberg, PhD, has hit a new high, whereby the system created by a team of researchers, has managed to reconstruct normal vision through frontline photoreceptor cells.

Basically, the system was embedded on a mouse, and the test was pretty successful too. Basically, the system was able to reconstruct more details on three different levels, namely without image reconstruction, medium image reconstruction, and superior image reconstruction levels. Also, it seems that the researchers are now keen in implementing the system on real humans – perhaps you should opt for a cyborg eye instead?
