It’s a sad sad day for gamers, as AMD has taken the decision to kill of the ATI brand. Basically, most gamers that soup up their expensive gaming rig are pretty accustomed to the ATI brand, whereby ATI represents some of the coolest graphics card in the market that offers great visual performances.
Nevertheless, AMD has made the decision to kill the ATI brand, whereby the ATI Eyefinity would be renamed as the AMD Eyefinity. Although the title sounds crude, it seems AMD will still retain Radeon and FirePro branding, much to the delight of existing gamers in the market.
Also, AMD has disclosed that the new product line for the AMD Eyefinity would be disclosed later this year, and these products will also feature AMD’s brand new Fusion APUs, which are hybrid CPU and GPU chips, and I find such technology to be truly fascinating indeed, don’t you think so?
